To better inform the public as to the State of their Police Department, we hope to keep this page updated with factual content as to why service or response times have deteriorated over the last few years. 

Did you know the Everett Police Department is short staffed by 19 Officers? 

 The current retirement or attrition rate exceeds that number. Also, we are competing nationwide for qualified applicants and the City is proposing to reduce benefits for the Police Officer position. 

Quality benefits are what attract the best applicant to our City. In order to hire the best, we need to be head and shoulders above other agencies to attract those applicants.
